Some of you may already be in the know regarding the surprises we have found along the way, now that we've closed on our little round house project on Tablerock Lake. This home, built from a kit in 1976, had two owners prior to us, neither of whom seemed interested in making any changes or modifications whatsoever.
The tour takes only a couple of minutes, since this house is so efficient. I really wish that technology had advanced far enough to include "smell-o-vision," as that would provide a more well-rounded feel for the place. You'll have to leave it to your own imagination, though.
The entry is the only really disappointing aspect to the home, aside from the outdated fixtures, mold issues, brown shag carpeting, obvious electrical problems, the fact that the A/C and furnace are original 1976 elements...but we will not split hairs here! This entry way has GOT to change. But once inside the home, it suddenly expands out and feels quite roomy in its own inimitable way.
Greg, so far, is insisting upon keeping the round bed found in the smaller bedroom. What say you - keep, or toss? I would LOVE your feedback!
Fun blog! I look forward to seeing the changes. I would get rid of the round bed. Although it is a novelty, I couldn't imagine being able to sleep in it!
